Karachi Schools Azizabad

KARACHI: A school in Karachi’s Azizabad area is being reconstructed at a cost of Rs 10 million provided by the World Bank under its improvement of schools programme. Provincial Minister Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari laid the foundation stone of reconstruction work of Altaf Hussain Hali School in Azizabad, Block 8 on Thursday. It said that the school was in a dilapidated condition and that is why the reconstruction work has been undertaken on emergency basis. Speaking on the occasion, Bukhari emphasised the significance of education. He said that by imparting education to the youngsters’ future of the country could be secured. Bukhari also visited various sections of the school and ascertained the problems being faced by the students as well as the teachers. Headmistress of the school, Syeda Iqbal Zehra, thanked the minister for resolving the main problem of the school. app
