Sindh seeks Canada’s help in training police
Karachi
The Sindh government is keen to seek Canada’s assistance in training its police force in the use of modern gadgets.
Meeting Canadian High Commissioner Ross Hynes at his residence on Tuesday, Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said it was a matter of grave concern for the provincial government that the police were not trained on modern lines and it was therefore ill-equipped to deal with the law and order situation of the province.
The Canadian high commissioner appreciated the role of the Home Department in improving law and order in the province, particularly in Karachi, which is the economic hub of the country. He assured the home minister of all possible cooperation in this regard.
