Multan, Prof Muhammad Akbar Chaudhary, Controller Examination Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Multan said on Wednesday that papers of 56,000 intermediate candidates were rechecked manually and result of 7,000 of them was changed.
A rechecking process was launched throughout Punjab after the results with full of mistakes, and poor computerized system. While unveiling the revised result of intermediate part one annual examination 2011, he said the manual rechecking process had raised the pass percentage from previous 41.79 percent to 42.31 per cent.
Prof. Akbar said they had rechecked each paper thrice, however, added that the board was ready to repeat the exercise if individual candidates still had objections. The number of successful candidates increased by 0.52 percent, he also said.
