Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi, has admissions open for female candidates only to M.Phil. leading to Ph.D./Ph.D.
FJWU has a Ph.D. program, consistent with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) M.Phil. leading to Ph.D./Ph.D. criteria/requirement. It is a program requiring full time student enrollment for course work.
For admission in M.Phil. leading to Ph.D., applicants are required to have:
Minimum of first division in Masters/BS 4-years from any HEC recognized university. (In English second division in Masters is acceptable, as per HEC ruling).
Cleared HEC GRE/GAT with 50% score.
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (if applicable).
Preference will be given to the students who have completed masters with Research Thesis.
Admissions in M.Phil. leading to Ph.D. program are open for the following departments:

Environmental Sciences Sixteen years education in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Plant Sciences, Agricultural Sciences/Allied Natural Science Subjects 15
English Sixteen years education in English language, literature or Linguistics 15
Economics Sixteen years education in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, M.Com. 15
For admission in Ph.D., applicants are required to have:
Minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or first division (in the annual system) in M.Phil./M.S./equivalent is required.
A subject test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) or ETS, USA in the area of specialization chosen at the Ph.D. level must be cleared prior to admission for the Ph.D. program
In the case of GAT subject test, a minimum of 50% marks are required to pass the test.
Admissions in Ph.D. program are open for the following departments:

Admission Application Forms
The application forms can be downloaded from Fatima Jinnah Women University website and sent to the Registrar Office along with a bank draft of Rs.1,000 in the name of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi through post/courier.
Last date for submission of applications:
Application, completed in all respects, on the prescribed form must be submitted in the Registrar Office by November 29, 2011.
