Islamabad:October 29:Taking notice of the protest of college teachers Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has formed a committee under the leadership of Law Minister Rana Sanaullah for holding talks with the teachers.

Punjab Professors and Teachers Association President (Rawalpindi Division) Muhammad Ilyas Qurashi told ‘The News’ that taking the notice of the protest of college teachers outside the Lahore Secretariat, the Punjab chief minister has formed a committee that will hold talks for resolving issues of the teachers.

He said that the committee would meet the officials of the association and today (Saturday) and would come up with its recommendations to resolve the issues of the teachers.

Ilyas Qurashi said that their demands are very clear. The government should upgrade all the teachers and regularise all the contract teachers. He said if the talks fail then college teachers would start new campaign till fulfilment of their demands adding they would remain on roads. “All the teachers should prepare themselves for the protest in case of failure of talks,” he urged.
