HITRAL, Nov 7: The Chitral Students Welfare Association (CSWA) here on Sunday arranged a walk to create awareness against the use of narcotics and its negative impact on society.
The walk started from the District Headquarter Hospital and culminated at parade ground.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted the reasons behind rampant use of narcotics in the society and stressed upon younger generation to desist from this bad habit.
Dr Gulzar Ahmad, president CSWA, said that narcotics were a peril in establishment of a healthy society and each and every member of our society should join hands to combat this menace.
Maulana Khaleeq-uz-Zaman, Khatib Shahi Masjid, urged the social welfare organisations and private sector to play their part to eradicate the menace from the society and suggested to devise a comprehensive strategy to achieve this goal. — APP.
