SIUT Karachi Admission 2012-2011



Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Karachi, has admissions open to Diploma in Specialist Renal Nursing and Diploma in General Nursing in November 2011.

SIUT is a 450-bedded tertiary care teaching hospital providing comprehensive care to patients with urology related diseases. The Institute is recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Diploma in Specialist Renal Nursing (SRN)

SIUT invites applications for one year full time SRN program, approved by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

Eligibility:
Both genders may apply although females are strongly encouraged
Professional Diploma in General Nursing (3 years)
Valid PNC registration
Two to three years post graduate clinical experience
Working experience in urology, nephrology or critical care area will be valued.

Diploma in General Nursing

Applications are invited for three year diploma program for female candidates.

Eligibility:
Intermediate (Pre-Medical)
Minimum 50% aggregate marks with physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects
Age between 17-22 years
Domicile of Sindh is preferable

Fees
Tuition cost will be covered by the SIUT.
Stipend is admissible.

1200 Applied for Nursing course in Lahore

LAHORE A number of 1200 candidates have submitted their applications for 39 seats of nurses for three year training course at Lahore General Hospital Nursing School.Principal LGH Nursing School Mrs. Ishrat Ishaque told in this regard that the admission would be made purely on merit and the candidates having passed FSc. would be proffered. She further told that the successful candidates would be given stipend and free residence at hostel according to the Government policy.Mrs. Ishrat Ishaque said that the educational certificates of the successful candidates would also be scrutinized after admission and the candidates having fake certificates would not only be struck off but legal action would also be taken against them.F.P. Nursing students refusal to be part of Sindh board

KARACHI division bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) Tuesday issued notices in a petition filed by 13 Nursing students against Nursing Board’s refusal to enroll them for appearing in 1st year examination.The bench comprising Chief Justice of SHC Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi issued notices to respondents Secretary Health Sindh, Registrar Pakistan Nursing Council, Director Nursing Board, Administrator of BurraqSchool of Nursing, federal and provincial law officers.The students through their counselIshrat Ghazali submitted that they have got admission for three year nursing study in the institution. Now, after completion of 1st year study, they have come to know that they would not be allowed to appear in the forthcoming examination by Sindh Nursing Board due to affiliation dispute between the board and the institution.The petitioner submitted that, they had contacted the Administrator of the school and concerned board but no satisfactory action has been taken so far.They prayed to the court to order the respondents to allow them to appear in the exam, to be held in December 2011.SHC disallows human rights campaigner from practicing lawKARACHI (PPI): Sindh High Court Tuesday disallowed human rights campaigner, Syed Iqbal Kazmi, from practicing law under grab of Attorney of Power accorded to him by Afaq Ahmed, Chairman of his own faction of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi.Iqbal Kazmi moved miscellaneous application in petition already filed by Afaq Ahmed, wherein he requested for order to IG Police Sindh to disclose details of cases lodged or pending against MQM-H Chairman.Applicant, Iqbal Kazmi submitted Afaq had already disengaged his counsels from his petition because legal advisor of his party, Advocate Sohail Anjum, was killed & other lawyers engaged were also being harassed.
