CEAD Admission 2011/2012

Center of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, has announced of admissions for 100 seats on provincial quota basis, 25 seats on self-finance basis, and 09 seats for international candidates for the Session 2012, in the following disciplines:
Bachelor of Architecture (5 Years)
Bachelor of Fine Arts (4 Years)
Bachelor of Design (4 Years) Communication, Textile and Ceramic Design

Eligibility

Intermediate Certificate / HSC / FA/ F.Sc. / Diploma (three years) or equivalent examination from any recognized institution with a minimum of 50% for all programs except Architecture which is 60% marks in Pre-Engineering ICS or Diploma.

Issuance and Submission of Application Forms

The Prospectus and Admission Forms can be obtained from Monday, November 28, 2011 to December 17, 2011 on the cash payment / draft / pay / money order of Rs.1,800 in favor of Director CEAD.

Duly Filled application forms should reach in the office of the Director, not later thanDecember 19, 2011 along with attested copies of the required documents. Incomplete application forms and received after due date will not be entertained.

International candidates may apply through their respective embassies / ministries concerned.

Self-Finance

Candidates desiring seats on self-finance basis should attach pay order/bank draft of Rs.300,000 for the Faculty of Design and Architecture and Rs.250,000 for the faculty of Fine Art issued in favor of Director, CEAD with the form.

Entry Test

Date of Entry Test: Sunday, January 08, 2012.

Test will be conducted at 10:00 am in the following Centers, simultaneously:

Lahore Arts Council (Al-Hamra), 68 Shahara-e-Quaid-i-Azam, Lahore
Abbaseen Arts council, Nishtar Hall Near, Peshawar high court, Peshawar
Director of Colleges and Higher Education, Shahwakhshah Road, Quetta

Candidates are advised to reach the test centers at least one hour before the start of test.

Important Notes
Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the Test. No any separate letter will be issued for the Test. However, result will be available on CEAD website.
Candidates who are appearing at all other Centers except, Jamshoro will have to bring original documents for verification at the test Center

Jamshoro: Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro has announced jobs for Software Developer (BPS-17)
For Faculties as per Statutes regarding Eligibility Criteria for Appointment of the Faculty Members under section 46 (1) (a) of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Act, 1977 and Higher Education Commission/Pakistan Engineering Council’s criteria.
Applications are invited from qualified candidates domiciled in the Province of Sindh for recruitment to the following posts at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. The candidates possessing the educational qualifications and fulfilling the conditions as laid down below should apply on the prescribed application forms obtainable from the office of the Registrar, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro on payment of Rs.1000/- through Bank Challan in Habib Bank Limited, Mehran University Booth, Jamshoro / Bank Draft in the name of Director Finance of the University. Qualification/Experience:- 1st class Master’s degree preferably (16 years of education) in Computer/ Software from a recognized University with 2 years experience in the relevant field.
Experience can be relaxed in case of Higher Qualification.
INSTRUCTIONS
Maximum age limit is 50 years for the Professors, 45 years for the Associate Professors and Assistant Professor and 30 years for others, relaxable in the cases of Government / Semi-Government employees in exceptional cases as well as allowed by Government of Pakistan.
Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications forms along with bank draft / challan with necessary documents for each post.
Candidates who are already serving in Government / Semi-Government and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by N.O.C. from the employer. An advance copy of the application(s) may be sent, so as to reach within due date.
Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as professional Engineer and Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners as Professional Architect and Town Planner is mandatory.
The recruitment against the above mentioned posts shall be made strictly subject to availability of the posts.
