LAHORE; Sunday, November 06, 2011: The City School (Central Region) organised a Halloween-themed Bake Sale/Carnival – Sharnival 2011 at its Shalimar Campus in connection with the recently introduced student development programmes, “The City-zenship Programme” and “Youth Leadership Programme”.
The event was aimed at providing the students with a platform where they could test their entrepreneurial skills; extract maximum returns from minimum investment and to raise funds for a cause.
The students and programme coordinators had been busy with the carnival’s preparations for a long time. The students were seen to be really excited and each one had dressed up in a unique halloween costume.
A fancy dress show and a dance competition had also been arranged for the junior classes, thereby, giving them a platform to discover and showcase their talents.
The students also actively participated in the bake sale which was being supervised by the teachers.
The event fulfilled its aim of providing a stage to the students where they could express themselves in an effective manner. It also proved to be a healthy break for students and a podium to test their entrepreneurial skills.
