Muzaffarabad Results 2011 BA/BSc examinations



MUZAFFARABAD Girls bagged all top three positions in BSc and two out of three in BA as the Azad Jammu and Kashmir University announced the names of position holders in the annual BA/BSc examinations 2011, here on Monday.

In the BSc, Hafsa Bibi and Maryam Bibi of Government Postgraduate College for Women, Muzaffarabad clinched first and third positions by securing 709 and 677 marks out of 900.

Sidra Jamil of Fatimatuz Zohra Degree College, Kotli, stood second by bagging 695 marks.



In the BA, Shahida Perveen, a private candidate from Mirpur, bagged first position by securing 595 out of 800 marks while Rashid Bashir and Fatimatuz Zohra, private candidates from Kotli, clinched second and third positions, respectively, by securing 562 and 561 marks.


Speaking at a news conference, AJKU controller examinations Prof Dr Rustam Khan told newsmen that 1,861 and 1,463 students had appeared in BSc as regular and private/late college candidates and of them 832 and 452 passed the exam, respectively. The overall pass percentage was 38.63.

On the other hand, 3,067 and 7,325 students had appeared in BA as regular and private/late college candidates and of them 858 and 1,338 remained successful, respectively. The overall pass percentage of BA was 21.13.
