KARAK Executive district officer (education) stopped payment of salaries to five teachers


KARAK Executive district officer (education) stopped payment of salaries to five teachers and a headmaster of a school for dereliction of duty, sources said on Wednesday.

EDO Haziqur Rehman Khattak under Rule 3 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Servant Efficiency and Disciplinary-2011 stopped the salaries of Headmaster Muhammad Usman and four teachers Ghulam Saddique, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Arif and Shamsur Rehman of Lawagher Channikhel Middle School after they found guilty following a probe against them.


The headmaster and teachers were found absent from duty during the visit of provincial Minister for Prisons Mian Nisar Gul to the school who then directed the EDO to probe the matter and punish the habitual absenting staff.



The EDO constituted a committee comprising two officers Noor Ajab Khan and Malik Taweez Gul of Education Department. The committee after thorough investigation submitted the report in which the headmaster and teacherswere declared guilty and suggested action against them.

One hurt in clash: A passer-by sustained serious injures when two rival groups tradedfire in Zarki Nusrati locality of Takht Nusrati tehsil on Wednesday, police sources said.

The sources said that a clash erupted between the rival parties of Master Yaqoob group and Alamzar group during which the two sides exchanged heavy fire early in the day. A passer-by identified as Mujahid Jamal sustained bullets injuries in the firing. He was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Takht Nusrati in a critical condition.The news.
