College Admission now offered to students who took 50 percent marks

However, the students who had been provisionally admitted to first-year classes in the Science faculty might not be able to pursue their education in the same faculty (pre-engineering & pre-medical) in the wake of a decision taken at a recent meeting of senior officials of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), the directorate-general (colleges), Sindh, and the provincial directorate of private educational institutions.

According to the decision: “Admissions of all those students who have been provisionally admitted to the first-year [pre-engineering & pre-medical] classes in the city’s government colleges and HSS will be regularised only if they are declared successful in their failed papers in the ongoing SSC (supplementary) examinations with at least 50pc marks, or else they will have to switch over to other faculties such as commerce or humanities.”
