For the admission in the Medical colleges of Sindh education department of Sindh is going to conduct out the entrance test in collaboration with the NTS (National Testing Service). This entrance test id for the admission in the following universities DOW University of Health Sciences, Sindh Medical University Karachi, & Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College Lyari, Karachi
All the eligible and interested candidates are advised to apply for this entrance test before the Monday, 17th September 2012 and NTS (National Testing Service) will conduct the entrance test on Sunday, 7th October 2012. KARACHI:
The admissions process for allocating 1,700 seats spread across seven medical colleges in the province would begin from September 3 with entrance tests to be simultaneously conducted at five examination centres.
These decisions were made in a meeting at the Sindh Secretariat presided over by provincial health minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed on Tuesday.
The officials met to finalise a uniform admission policy for the next academic session for the colleges, slated to start from November 1. The students will be able to get their application forms from September 3, which they could submit, along with all the necessary documents, till September 17. If a student fails to acquire their certificates for prerequisite education by that date, they would be allowed to submit them by September 22.
The health department would then issue on September 25 a list of candidates eligible to take the entrance test, which is scheduled for October 7 and would be conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS).
NTS would then announce the results on October 10, after which the department would issue a provisional merit list on October 15. Applicants would be allowed to lodge their complaints over the next 24 hours. After resolving all genuine grievances, the department will announce the final merit list on October 20.
In contrast to last year when Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College Lyari had announced a separate admissions process, students would use only one application form this year.
Nearly 350 successful applicants will be admitted at the Dow University of Health Sciences and Sindh Medical University each, while 350 successful candidates would be admitted at each of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University in Larkana. Meanwhile, 200 successful applicants would be admitted at the Peoples Medical College in Shaheed Benazirabad.
