Inter part 1 result 2011 news

LAHORE - Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the intermediate part-I results on Monday.
A total of 124,702 students appeared in the examinations and 49435 were successful, acquiring the passing percentage which was 39.64 percent. The result was initially expected on October 5 and then October 8. The postponement of results caused students inconvenience. It should be noted that the results were announced on September 25 last year and there was an enormous delay this year. BISE Lahore Controller Examinations Eijaz Hussain said only 3500 students had to wait for the result. He said that the board had solved the result late (RL) problem of a number of students and would solve the RL issue of the remaining students within days. Hussain said the students did not need the part 1 results for their admissions so RL was not a major issue. Students say the online system was responsible for RL issue as such negligence was never seen before. They asked the higher ups to address the issue and reform the existing online system in order to save the futures of thousands of students.
Separately, BISE Lahore officials did not aid 9th grade students much when they went to get their papers rechecked, students said.
Around 20,000 students suffered due to a delay in the intermediate results and it deterred their university applications. The matriculation results were also delayed this year.
